Inland Terminal Overview

Inland Terminal rents liquid fertilizer storage space to fertilizer suppliers and vendors who serve agricultural growers in the Northern California growing region. Key crops grown in this region include rice, processing tomatoes, corn, almonds, wine grapes, alfalfa, wheat and other tree crops.

The terminal currently provides storage and delivery access for six products and total storage capacity of 3.6 million gallons. Storage capacity will be expanded to nine products and 5.4 million gallons in 2008.

Inland Terminal’s logistical and cost-effective advantages include:

  • Close proximity to key Northern California agricultural growing areas means more deliveries per day from Inland Terminal site than more distant terminal sites.
  • State of the art, 24/7 automated facilities provide safe, efficient product storage via truck and rail car deliveries, and fast, tanker truck load-out for maximum, around the clock scheduling flexibility.
  • Easy access by truck via Interstate 5 and by rail car service provided by the California Northern Railroad Company.
  • A rural location with less traffic congestion and service restrictions than terminals located in more distant metropolitan and commercial areas.
